IS THE QUARAN A WORD FROM GOD? NO!"Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well;
for so I am" - Jesus Christ (John 13:13)
The following is a comment from a "Muslim Convert who CLAIMS to have known Jesus as LORD at one time in the PAST,THIS BLOG IS THANKS TO HIM! "God is all powerful. All He has to do is just will something to happen. Why do theologians feel it is necessary to create partners for our God. Our God is supreme and doesn't need any "co-equal partners". "Your God is one (The word "One" in the original Hebrew can also mean "UNITY" as well as a numerical amount) God. There is no deity save Him, the All-merciful, the All Compassionate." (Holy Koran Surah 2:163)"
I have a REAL PROBLEM with some who CLAIM that they WERE ONCE CHRISTIANS,WHO NOW CONFESS THAT THEY HAVE "CONVERTED TO ANOTHER FAITH", I will mince no words here to spare your feelings as you have minced no words in WOUNDING THE HEART OF YOUR SAVIOUR,JESUS CHRIST! All who CLAIM TO HAVE SERVED JESUS AND TO HAVE "CHANGED THEIR MINDS TO WORSHIP "OTHER FALSE gods such as "Allah" are being deceived by the ANTICHRIST SPIRIT and MUST wake up and repent before judgment-Do not be DECEIVED,YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU HAVE PLANTED IN YOUR LIFE...You cannot DENY JESUS & NOT SUFFER THE RESULTS BUT, FORGIVENESS IS STILL WAITING FROM THE LORD!Having said that I will now proceed to give you a lesson in the "FALSE " translation called the" Holy Koran (Qur'an), This is living PROOF that your god is a FALSE ONE and your Prophet is a FALSE PROPHET: The Qur'an is a revised counterfeit of 6th century polytheism, composed of previously existing pagan beliefs, practices and fairy tales. While the Bible uses some early traditional practices in it's pages to tell the truth about what it's people did , it is completely original in what God himself told Israel to do which was outside what the nations around them did!
The so-called Prophet wrote:
"This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and others have helped him do it...Tales of the ancients (fairy tales), which he has caused to be written; and they are dictated before him morning and evening." (Surah 25:4-5)"
The Qur'an is not an inspired new revelation from a God who seeks pure worship, but is a revised counterfeit of 5th century polytheism, composed of previously existing pagan beliefs and practices. Or as Muhammad defended himself in the Koran against the same accusation 1400 years ago:
While the devout Muslim believes with all of his heart that the rituals and doctrines of Islam are entirely heavenly in origin and thus cannot have any earthly sources, Middle East scholars have demonstrated beyond all doubt that every ritual and belief in Islam can be traced back to pre-Islamic Arabian culture.
In other words Muhammad did not preach anything new. Everything he taught had been believed and practiced in Arabia long before he was ever born. Even the idea of "only one God" was borrowed from the Jews and the Christians. The Quran repeats fanciful Arabian fables as if they were true. "Arabic legends about the fabulous jinns fill its pages" (G.G. Pfander, Balance of Truth, pp. 283). "The story of the she-camel who leapt out of a rock and became a prophet was known long before Muhammad" (Suras 7:73-77,85; 91:14; 54:29). The story of an entire village of people who were turned into apes because they broke the sabbath by fishing was a popular legend in Muhammad's day (Suras 2:65; 7:163-166). The gushing 12 springs story found in Sura 2:60 comes from pre-Islamic legends. In what is called the "Rip Van Winkle" story, seven men and their animals slept for 309 years in a cave and then woke up perfectly fine (Sura 18:9-26)! This legend is found in Greek and Christian fables as well as Arabian lore. The fable of the pieces of four dead, cut-up birds getting up and flying was well known in Muhammad's time (Sura 2:260). It is also clear that Muhammad used such pre-Islamic literature as the Saba Moallaqat of Imra'ul Cays in his composition of Suras 21:96; 29:31,46; 37:59; 54:1, and 93:1.
Many of the stories in the Quran come from the Jewish Talmud, the Midrash, and many apocryphal works.
This was pointed out by Abraham Geiger in 1833, and further documented by another Jewish scholar, Dr. Abraham Katsh, of New York University, in 1954 (The Concise Dictionary of Islam, p. 229; Jomier, The Bible and the Quran -- Henry Regency Co., Chicago, 1959, 59ff; Sell, Studies, pp. 163ff.; Guillaume, Islam, p. 13).
The source of Sura 3:35-37 is the fanciful book called The Protevangelion's James the Lesser.
The source of Sura 87:19 is the Testament of Abraham.
The source of Sura 27:17-44 is the Second Targum of Esther.
The fantastic tale that God made a man "die for a hundred years" with no ill effects on his food, drink, or donkey was a Jewish fable (Sura 2:259ff.).
The idea that Moses was resurrected and other material came from the Jewish Talmud (Sura 2:55, 56, 67).
The story in Sura 5:30,31 can also be found in pre-Islamic works from Pirke Rabbi Eleazer, the Targum of Jonathan ben Uzziah and the Targum of Jerusalem.
The tale of Abraham being delivered from Nimrod's fire came from the Midrash Rabbah (see Suras 21:51-71; 29:16, 17; 37:97,98). It must be also pointed out that Nimrod and Abraham did not live at the same time. Muhammad was always mixing people together in the Quran who did not live at the same time.
The non-biblical details of the visit of the Queen of Sheba (Saba) in Sura 27:20-44 came from the Second Targum of the Book of Esther.
The source of Sura 2:102 is no doubt the Midrash Yalkut (chapter 44).
The story found in Sura 7:171 of God lifting up Mount Sinai and holding it over the heads of the Jews as a threat to squash them if they rejected the law came from the Jewish book Abodah Sarah.
The story of the making of the golden calf in the wilderness, in which the image jumped out of the fire fully formed and actually mooed (Suras 7:148; 20:88), came from Pirke Rabbi Eleazer.
The seven heavens and hells described in the Quran came from the Zohar and the Hagigah.
Muhammad utilized the Testament of Abraham to teach that a scale or balance will be used on the day of judgment to weigh good and bad deeds in order to determine whether one goes to heaven or hell (Suras 42:17; 101:6-9).
THESE ARE FACTS THAT CANNOT BE REFUTED,ALTHOUGH YOU WILL ATTEMPT TO DECEIVE YOURSELF INTO BELIEVING SOME ISLAMIC DOUBLE TALK TO THE CONTRARY,THESE FACTS WILL ALWAYS "BLOCK"YOUR WAY..THEY ARE SOLID FACTS PROVED AND TRUE!
One of the most documented and damaging facts about the Quran is that Muhammad used heretical "Christian" Gnostic gospels and their fables for material in the Quran.
Encyclopedia Britannica comments: "The gospel was known to him chiefly through apocryphal and heretical sources" (15:648).
This has been demonstrated many times by various scholars (Richard Bell, Introduction to the Quran, pp. 163ff. See also: Bell, The Origin of Islam in Its Christian Environment, pp. 110ff, 139ff; Sell, Studies, pp. 216ff. See also Tisdall and Pfander). For example, in Suras 3:49 and 100:11O, the baby Jesus speaks from the cradle! Later on, the Quran has Jesus making clay birds come alive. The Bible tells us that the first miracle Jesus did was at the wedding at Cana (John 2:11).
Muhammad incorporated parts of the religion of the Sabeans into Islam (Encyclopedia off Islam (ed. Eliade), pp. 303ff.; International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, pp. 1:219ff.).
He adopted such pagan rituals as: Worshiping at Kabah ,Praying five times a day towards Mecca (Muhammad chose five of the same times the Sabeans prayed). Fasting for part of a day for an entire month.
Muhammad derived some of his ideas from Eastern religions such as Zoroastrianism and Hinduism. All of these things were in existence long before Muhammad was born.
The Quran records the following things which are ascribed to Muhammad but in reality were previously known stories now attributed to him for the first time (Sell, Studies, pp. 219ff.).
The story of a flying trip through seven heavens.
The Houries of paradise.
Azazil and other spirits coming up from Hades.
The "light" of Muhammad.
The bridge of Sirat.
Paradise with its wine, women, and song (from the Persians).
The king of death.
The peacock story
According to the literal Arabic translation of Sura 3:106, 107, on Judgment Day, only people with white faces will be saved. People with black faces will be damned.
Maybe my African American brothers should RETHINK their positions concerning Islam? Sense their presence is UNWELCOME to "Allah' in the END! Islam Is Paganism In Monotheistic Wrapping Paper. But Muslims may not like what they see when they unwrap the box.
It is clear, from a historical point of view, that Muhammad, as a youth participated in worshiping all the 360 pagan gods in the Kabah in Mecca owned and operated by the Quraish tribe to which Muhammad was member in good standing. As Muhammad grew up, he was influenced by Christians (monotheists) who condemned the polytheism at the Kabah. At some point in Muhammad’s life, he was convinced by the Christians that Polytheism was wrong and sought to reject the 360 pagan gods he had grown up with. Muhammad was converted to the concept of monotheism through the influence and teachings of Christians. However, being a proud "nationalistic cultural Arab", bent to preserve his traditions, Muhammad, decided to "reform" his native pagan religion, rather than adopt a completely different religion like Christianity. So Muhammad took the top pagan god of the Kabah in Mecca (called Hubal and/or Allah) and chose it to be his new monotheistic god. This god was already considered the top god among other gods at the Kabah. Muhammad’s strategy was simple. Rather than converting all the Arab people to the monotheism of Christianity, Muhammad merely banished the other 359 pagan gods and chose the one remaining to be the one and only god... what Muslims refer to today as "Allah". Thus Islam was born.
If Muhammad was trying to convert one of his fellow pagan Arabs to monotheism, the conversation probably went something like this: Muhammad: "You know, worshiping all these pagan gods is really silly. There must be a supreme god, a "THE GOD". (the god is what Allah actually means) We already refer to the chief or head of the Kabah as "Allah", lets continue to worship that god, but do away with all the others. I don’t want to discard the Allah, the Lord of the Kabah that we already worship, rather I only want to remove his wife and his daughters and all the other gods. And lets never refer to Allah again as "Hubal" or call him the moon god, because Allah, being our new monotheistic supreme god, created the moon.
Islam is intolerant and incompatible with all other religions: If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will he be accepted of God; and in the next life, he will be in the ranks of those who have lost themselves and will burn in hell. (Qur'an 3:85)
The Muslim false claim:
"In other words: two of the copies of the Qur’an which were originally prepared in the time of Caliph `Uthman, are still available to us today and their texts and arrangement can be compared, by anyone who cares to, with any other copy of the Qur’an, be it in print or handwriting, from any place or period of time. They will be found to be identical." (Von Denffer, Ulum al-Qur’an, p 64)
The truth:
Although Muslims proclaim they have a Koran that dates to the time of Muhammad, the Reality is different.
Two ancient copies of Koran that are in existence are the Samarqand MSS is in Tashkent, and the MSS housed in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul. What many Muslim's do not know, is that because these two manuscripts were written in a script style called "Kufic", practicing Muslim scholars generally date these manuscripts no earlier than 200 years after Muhammad died. Had these two manuscripts been compiled any earlier, they would have been written in either the Ma'il or Mashq script style. John Gilchrist, in his book, "Jam' Al-Qur'an" came to this same conclusion. (John Gilchrist, Jam' Al-Qur'an, Jesus to the Muslims, 1989)
Now we do have one ancient copy of the Koran written in the Ma'il style of script, that is housed in the British Museum in London (Lings & Safadi 1976:17,20; Gilchrist 1989:16,144). But scholar Martin Lings, who was not only a practicing Muslim, but also a former curator for the manuscripts of the British Museum, dates this manuscript at 790 AD, making it the earliest. On the other hand Yasir Qadhi notes one Islamic Masters/PhD scholar who believes the Samarqand MSS is the ‘most likely candidate for the original’.
It is unknown, even by Muslims that authorities will not release photographs of the ancient Topkapi manuscript in Istanbul and so there are no known studies on it. This is why the Muslim apologist, M. Saifullah had to state "Concerning the Topkapi manuscript we are not aware of studies done it." (Who's Afraid Of Textual Criticism?, M. S. M. Saifullah, 'Abd ar-Rahman Squires & Muhammad Ghoniem) What is in this manuscript that Muslims are afraid to let the world see? After all in Qur'an 2:111 it says "Produce your proof if you are truthful."
Even the earliest fragmentary manuscripts of the Koran are all dated no earlier than 100 years after Muhammad died.
Add to this the fact that there is no archaeological evidence dated at the time when Muhammad was alive, by way of artifact, manuscript or inscription has ever been found were Muhammad is actually referred to as "a prophet".
If you don’t believe me, listen to faithful Muslim, Ahmad Von Denffer, in his book, Ulum al Quran, in a chapter called, Old Manuscripts Of The Qur'an, "Most of the early original Qur'an manuscripts, complete or in sizeable fragments, that are still available to us now, are not earlier than the second century after the Hijra. [or 800 AD] The earliest copy, which was exhibited in the British Museum during the 1976 World of Islam Festival, dated from the late second century.' However, there are also a number of odd fragments of Qur'anic papyri available, which date from the first century." (Grohmann, A.: Die Entstehung des Koran und die altesten Koran- Handschriften', in: Bustan, 1961, pp. 33-8)
There are no ancient copies of the Koran dating before 750 AD in museums.
